It is with great pride that I present you with the first issue of the 2007 TTA Newsletter! As its new editor, I am always looking for ways to continuously improve the newsletter. Just like the new graphics that you see, I am always open to new ideas and suggestions to make this newsletter the best possible product. The Occult Fan is a newsletter for Triple Triad players, by Triple Triad players. As such, all the input and thought that goes into this production is done by its players, as it should be.

The title for my article is revolution. But what is revolutionary? The concept of the newsletter is still generally the same. However, take a closer look. The new graphics have been beautifully designed by Seif. Each month will feature a different cover page highlighting some of the contents of the article. The content of the articles have changed much as well. The newsletter team features a diverse group of writers from different backgrounds, skill-levels, and ideals. I have encouraged them to write from the perspective of themselves. As such, the newsletter articles reflect the opinions and ideas of the individual writers rather than TTA itself. My job as editor involves making sure that all articles have factual information and that arguments and comments are well-supported. Each writer brings insight to the newsletter to make this a newsletter worth reading as it is more than just what is new within the community. Any people that wish to add their name into the hat for people who want to write about an editorial, please inquire to me.

I live by this quote. Being involved in organizations so often in my life has made the element of planning a necessity. The undertaking of the newsletter is no different. As such, we have provided a mission statement that the writing team intends to live by to provide the best service to you, the players.

As writers of the Occult Fan, we will strive to be the premier organization within the Triple Triad Advance community. We will achieve superior levels of writing, in addition to being a substantial influence on the players and other organizations of Triple Triad Advance. We will strive to provide the community with monthly editions in order to serve the community to the best of our ability. To achieve this mission, we must have strong ties to one another, along with our active participation, to increase the attention and focus of the newsletter, as well as exceed the expectations of the individuals impacted.

An editor is nothing without his or her writing team. Each writer puts in a great deal of work to put out a new article on a timely basis to provide you with the much needed news, opinions, and insights that you crave. When reading each issue, please give credit where credit is due as the hard work that is put forth to make this newsletter has been done by more than just me. Enjoy your reading and we look forward to a bright future!
