TTA Clans
By: Kaus Debonair
Hey everybody and welcome to the clan section! I am the temporary fill-in for this article this month as we are still looking for a regular clan writer. If you want to do that, all you need to do is drop me a pm or find me in chat. We would love to have you write about the great clans of TTA even if you are a member of one or not.
The focus of this article will be on the clan that has gotten the most focus lately. That clan is the 2006 Clan of the Year, Triforce. I have conferred with their leader, Shuriken, many times since then. As a clan, they are very humbled about this award and take great pride in it, which is the best way to go. Nobody likes a sore loser, but in this case, nobody likes a sore winner either. This award has not phased the clan as they continue to try and improve themselves to potentially win the award again next year. Their delicate balance of high skill and heavy activity are the major components to them winning the award this year. They are a group of people that have similar interests and work towards a common goal. That is the definition of a clan, and they do it well. As already mentioned, they are trying to improve as well. They feature a variety of events within their clan to encourage activity and make their members better. Of the things they wish to improve on, is that they want to make a splash in the major clan tournaments. For a clan that has been skilled for awhile, they seem to have been missing the boat in the clan tournaments. However, regular finishes of quarterfinals and semifinals give this group a lot of hope that they can win the big one. Clan Wars is going on right now and this contingent is in the second round and is looking to keep moving forward. In their Clan League’s first match, they shocked the Zodiac Braves to hand them a loss.
There have been some perils that this clan will have to avoid, though. Let’s take a quick history lesson through the past clans of the year.
Kingdom Hearts: For those of you who weren’t around for them, obviously, you can tell that this clan which had so much energy and the same vibe that Triforce has is no longer around.
Triad Elite: This small group of extremely skilled players won every clan event and had very close ties with each other. However, they also fizzled out and are no longer on this site.
Trance Knights: The myth, the legend. The hopefuls of TK still wish on the inside that their former leader, Seif, will bring this clan back to life so they can live the good times once again. However, with its demise, it is added to the list of clans that lost their momentum.
Avalanche: Triforce fits best along with this clan. When Avalanche won, they had a ton of members and competed well in every tournament. Sound familiar? Since then, activity and membership have dropped. They are making a run in Clan Wars with an impressive first round showing, but still aren’t quite the same since winning Clan of the Year. The best thing this clan has going for them in comparison to all the others is that they are still around. That is a lot more than their predecessors.
So which path will Triforce take? Will it stumble with the rest of the crowd or rise above the rest? I’m putting money on them holding their position and maintaining their strata as one of the best clans on the site.
Here is some other assorted news from the other clans.
-The Zodiac Braves have implemented a one-clan rule, which TTA thought it would never see. This change has created many mixed reactions from the community.
-The leadership of Brotherhood of SeeD has changed a bit as well. MafiJosie and Spitfire are taking the reigns of the clan. Good luck to you two in bringing that clan back to its former glory.
-The Devas have put in a new ranking system as well as brought in many new members. Once a mainly skill-based clan, they are now shifting their angle to bring in more quality members. The shift from skill to people definitely changes the look of this clan.
-Knights of the Crusades? That’s right, a clan merger has been formed. No clan merger has really worked very well so good luck to the contingent of the Knights of the Round and the Crusaders.
That is it for this edition of the TTA clans section. As an advocate of how much clans contribute to the community, I am secretly hoping that nobody wants to do this position so I can keep writing in the future!
