TTA Fun
By: Grat

Welcome to the House of Fun!!

Yes, it’s that part of Occult Fan where we keep you up-to-date with the latest goings on in TTA Fun.

After much "brainstorming", we've come up with something fresh, exciting and which should help even the odds for those of you just starting out. We call it the "Newbie Tourney" (working title:p)

The idea is as follows, as explained by our wonderful editor:

"A lot has been mentioned about helping the new player. Why not give them an advantage in a tourney? Nebula mentioned about newbie-only tournaments...which on their own are fine.

But what about a topsy-turvy tourney in their favour? For example, our Delials and Setos sign up, as well as our Gigaflares and Kirkees. You allow the pros to use only 1-5, and the newbies 6-10. In open combo, that would greatly increase the chance of a newbie victory."

So in short, this is something different and geared toward promoting "fairness" in TTA. Let's face it. We all know that being a new player in TTA is not the easiest of things to overcome, and we think is a positive step towards evening the odds.

But what do YOU think? Like the idea or would prefer a different approach? Either way, we HIGHLY appreciate opinions on this and any other activities by us. A thread shall be opened in the TTA Fun section of forums which will be used to determine the next step.

And now, some news in brief:

*Fun challenges remain a key part of our forum-based operations, expect some fiendish (but rewarding) tasks courtesy of new host Yoshiken.

*You may have noticed Trivia has moved into the Fun domain- its purely a move to "streamline" the forums a tad, as its still open for you all to use as you wish. But now and then, expect some prize-winning opportunities to arise from here. My lips are sealed!

*The Sunday night random chat tournaments continue, generally at 9pm GMT (I was never the best at timekeeping, so it is GENERALLY). As usual, expect major prizes. Particularly if we get 16 players or more, which is quite often! A prize as high as Pupu was given away recently for a very good turnout! Keep up the activity!

*While not strictly a Fun operation, I shall nudge you in the direction of #ttnetwork for our twice-weekly "Golden Boot" chat tournaments. Back after a short absence, and with the level 8 bug gone, fully random again! Expect them on Thursday and Saturday nights, subject to channel attendance.

Now you're fully up to date, have Fun from us all in the Fun team!
