No, I’m not leaving. :p

But the Clan League is for the time being, maybe for good. Well, until another Shuriken comes around.

After DocEvil’s first attempt at a Clan League was halted, it had a small downtime before Shuriken picked up the pieces and started it again. It was revamped and was well-received for awhile by the community, for awhile. Being a good leader and a hard working person in general, Shuriken seemed like a good fit for the job. But, even the best of us can take on more than we can handle.

The first Clan League had some flaws in it. It was very difficult for games to consistently get played. It was tough to keep things fresh. Finally, it was tough to keep people interested in the league after many matchdays and short off-seasons.

Sound familiar?

Well, it certainly should. The same problems have cropped up again to the point where Shuriken will be resigning at the end of the season. As of right now, it does not appear that anybody will be immediately taking over the project so it is hard to determine the fate of the Clan League after Season 4.

I’ll take a shot at it, though. :)

This will not be the complete end of the Clan League. Somebody with the same qualities as Shuriken will undertake the Clan League to give it a third run. Third time is the charm, right? Well, not for the Clan League. It will have another good short run, but it will follow the same course as the other attempts unless a significant off-season gets put in. After all, that’s why Triad Wars and Clan Wars are so popular. There is only one chance to win them a year.

For the record, I do have the name of the person that I feel will take over the Clan League, but I’ll only tell one person who my guess is and if it does come back, we’ll let the world know who my guess was and how right I am.

Do I want the Clan League to come back? Well, most know how I feel about it, but since the community seems to enjoy it, I won’t be so negative if it does surface again.
